Yuchai Group, one of China's largest machinery concerns, and Malaysian producer Petronas, have launched a state of the art research and development facility in Nanning, south west China.
The facility, which is built over a 1,000 sqm area, is located in the nationally-accredited Yuchai Engineering Research Institute and will focus on developing internationally competitive products.
With over 30 test facilities, the laboratory will develop products in accordance with the ASTM International Standard and will carry out more than 40 kinds of phisico-chemical and tribological tests.
The joint venture will capitalise on the synergy between Yuchai's advanced engine technology and Petronas' Fluid Technology Solution.
