Valvoline has begun building a $35m HQ in Lexington.
The motor oil and lubricant company expects to complete the 162,400ft2 building in early 2017 when it will be leased by Ashland, its parent company.
The move comes after Ashland announced the spin-off of its major lubes brand in September 2015.

Valvoline currently employs around 600 people at its business home in Kentuck, where Lexington is the second largest city in the State. The lubes producer expects to receive up to $1m in local and regional government incentives as a result of the new headquarter.
The 150 year old brand, which has gained a strong reputation in US motorsport, has seen production of some eight billion gallons of lubricants and claims to have lubricated more than one billion vehicles with its branded motor oil.
