Faurecia has developed the ultimate in car seat luxury.
The French-based global car compontents company has created a super luxury rear passenger seat designed specifically for chauffeured vehicles - seemingly the ultimate in remote controlled seating.
Passengers can choose from four main positions for the seat using a high definition touch screen mounted on a central console in front of the seat:
- entry - entering the vehicle
- business - upright
- entertainment - for video and audio enjoyment
- relaxation - nearly reclined
A head tracking camera mounted in the rear of the front seats ensures automatic adjustments are made to height and depth so that the seat fits the passenger exactly.
Other luxuries to make the journey more enjoyable include a multimedia interface via the centre console screen and incorporating a digital mouse mounted in the arm-rest. There's stress-relieving advanced massage built in and a 3D sound headrest. In fact, everything an overworked executive might need on the way to and from their next meeting.
