The trade body for the UK's vehicle makers - The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has revealed an increase of nearly 15% in UK commercial vehicle sales in 2013 - the best performance in the market over the last five years.
With many new vans entering the market in 2014, SMMT predicts continued growth in the sector.
Registration of new trucks with Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines rose exponentially towards the end of the year with the Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) sector also significantly improved - more than 56,000 units being registered in 2013.
