Lubrizol's two new products - SG9L01 and SG9L20 - are designed specifically as natural gas additives.

According to Lubrizol, SG9L01 formulated to deliver varnish and deposit protection at extreme temperatures, reduce combustion chamber deposits as well as improving wear and copper corrosion protection.

The SG9L20 additive aims to extend oil life for maximized running time, improve maintenance interval planning and increase service intervals.

Stationary natural gas now accounts for 24% of the world's primary energy consumption and is predicted to increase to 50% by 2040, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Lubrizol's Global Business Manager, Paul Nai, commented: "We've put novel chemistry to work in order to deliver higher performance beyond what has been seen before in stationary natural gas additive technology."
