Saudi Total Lubricant Company Ltd (SATLUB) are planning a new fully-automated lubes facility in Saudi Arabia, Total's first in the Kingdom.
The plant, due to be commissioned in 2012, involves and initial $10m investment and will be built on a 65,000m2 plot in the King Abdullah Economic City. The state-of-the art site will be staffed by around 50 people at launch, with production being fully automated.
Initial capacity for the site will be 25,000 metric tonnes of automotive, industrial and marine lubricants as well as speciality products and will serve both domestic and export markets in the Middle East and North Africa.
