Shell has opened the latest addition to its global technology network with a new Centre in Zhuhai, Guangdong.

Oil major, Shell, has opened its first Chinese Lubricants Technical Service Centre (TSC) in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, to support the needs of its local customers. The new centre offers a range of services to key industry customers and OEMs, including technical research, marketing and training services related to their lubricants application. The centre will also serve as a platform between Shell and OEM research institutes.

Lim Haw-Kuang, Executive Chairman of Shell Companies in China, is keen to support the growing market place and claims that the new plant “underlines Shell's confidence in the Chinese market and commitment to Chinese customers.” Lim also stressed that China is the world's fastest growing lubes market, with the world's second highest lubes demand behind America.

Zhuhai itself also forms Shell's largest lubes manufacturing complex in Asia and in addition to the TSC Shell is also building new lubricants blend and grease plants.
