There will be no more VW Kombis.
Volkswagen has decided to discontinue production of the well-loved van which has seen global production of more than 10 million vehicles.
As part of it's fond farewell to the global workhorse that has become an icon for road trips, music festivals and happy holidays, VW gave some of their Kombi owners special gifts to commemorate the end of an era. They also produced a moving video.
The Kombi or camper van has been manufactured in Brazil since 1957 and now the last one has rolled off the production line.
Famous for being customised by young and old, the van's appeal has been universal. VW Kombi owners are likely to see good residual values in years to come.
