The Middle East oil producer signed two major engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) deals with UK-based Petrofac as part of the Jazan Refinery and Terminal project on the Saudi Red Sea coast.
The total contract value is worth some $1.4bn and focuses on tank farm construction across both the North and South areas of the site. As part of Aramco's "In-Kingdom EPC" programme, Petrofac's Saudi Arabian office is tasked with delivering both contracts within three years.
A Petrofac spokesman commented: "As this project progresses, we look forward to working closely with Saudi Aramco and our contractors to further deepen our engineering and project management capability in the Kingdom.”
