OATS' Sales team are impressed by innovation at Germany's Automechanika Fair.
Some 140,000 visitors attended the Frankfurt-based Automechanika, the World's Leading Trade Fair for the Automotive Industry. Amongst them were OATS Sales Managers, Henry Lee and Joe Turley, as exhibitors displayed the entire process chain from point-of-sale, via services, to recycling and waste disposal.
The exhibition spotlights innovations and solutions in the fields of parts, systems, tuning, workshop equipment, bodywork and paintwork, car wash, IT and Management and the latest automobile services and the OATS delegates were impressed by what they saw.
Joe Turley, OATS Regional Sales Manager for Europe, described the show as: "Really productive. It was the place to be for smaller oil companies especially from Northern Europe, but there was also a global presence with lubricants manufacturers from the Middle East, Asia and North America looking to export to the lucrative European market.”

The increasing influence of the ‘industrial internet’ was clearly felt, with a strong presence for associated companies providing database/management systems to Independent Workshops.
An example of these interesting new developments was sensors being placed on commercial vehicles, transmitting to workshops to allow them to prepare necessary parts and labour for arrival, thus reducing downtime.
OATS Senior Account Manager, Henry Lee, used the three-day Automechanika visit to deliver some good news to existing and prospective customers: "They were all very interested to hear about our recent developments with the launch of earlFUSiON and particularly Product Manager, which was seen as having significant benefits including rationalising product lines and reducing branding time."
He continued: "With our flexible, solutions based approach, this is an exciting time to choose OATS as your lubricants data solutions provider.”
There was particularly good news for OATS customer, BIZOL, the first German motor oil manufacturer to receive the Red Dot Design Award for motor oil packaging, which has been granted in almost all industries except the motor oil category, since 1955.
Chosen by an international jury of design experts from a field of 7,096 entries across 49 countries, the company received the prestigious award for new and innovative motor oil packaging.
