Twitter is finally responding to social media marketing departments clammering to track their campaigns’ success.
Now the microblogging company set to add new functionality to the re-vamped service which will provide the following information to marketers:
- The extent to which online content is being shared across Twitter.
- How much traffic Twitter sends back to the relevant website.
- The ability to measure the effectiveness of Tweet Button integration
With Twitter operating in real time, detailed analytics has become a vital for marketers in allowing them to responsd to customer feedback, news and suggetions, as well as helping brands improve web conversions. Of all the social media channels, Twitter is - arguably - the fastest, but has been one of the the slowest in offering the vital metrics needed for companies to monitor and justify social media activity.
A small group of marketers will form the first pilot, ahead of the new analytics' release to the wider Twittersphere. The company is also introducing new Twitter Lead Generation Cards to incentivise followers to provide personal contact information via opt-in campaigns.
