Shell Eastern Petroleum Pte Ltd. to have a new plants in southwest Singapore.
Scheduled for completion in 2015, the new lube oil blending plant and grease manufacturing operations will replace Shell's facilities in northern Singapore.
The plants will be next to the lube park shared facilities and operated by Singapore Lube Park Ptd Ltd.
The company hopes to increase capacity by 40% with the development of the new sites in Tuas to support the anticipated increase in growth in the Asia-Pacific region. The announcement is also a boost to Singpore itself which last year stated a clear strategy to increase petrochemical growth in the country.
