New lubes deals help boost African lubes markets.
Automaker Tata will be using Total's branded lubricants and special products for after-market service of commercial vehicles in parts of Africa thanks to a new deal.
The contract, which does not include South Africa, will also help to modernise Tata Motors' workshops across the continent.
Meanwhile GB Auto, Egypt's biggest car assembler has signed a strategic distributorship agreement with Russia’s Gazprom-Neft Lubricants, paving the way for further expansion into Africa.
GB Auto will distribute Gazpromn-Neft-branded products through its own network as well as through third-party distributors. According to the Russian company's General Director Alexander Trukhan, the deal will "not only widen the distribution map up to 40 countries, but strengthen our positions in the African markets."
