The Murmansk operations run by Gazpromneft Marine Bunker LLC are being boosted by a major optimisation project that will enhance the company's supply ship - Gazpromneft Zuid.

The initiative, generated alongside Gazprom Oil and Gazpromneft Lubricants, will allow round-the-clock supply operations to be run from the Russian port, as well as a choice of three lubricant types including TARO 40X and XL.

The product will be supplied by the company's Moscow plant and has a low suphur content.  The change-up is an attempt to drive annual sales, reported as 3.7m metric tonnes in 2015, a slight fall on the previous year.

Meanwhile Caterpillar Marine is set to establish a new Marine Centre in Singapore, previously the home of Caterpillar Remanufacturing.  The site will include a team from the company's Marine Propulsion Systems Solutions to produce engines and thrusters, as well as the existing sales team which supplies medium-speed diesel engines to the marine, power and oil & gas industries across AsiaPac and Oceania regions.
