Fuchs' Russian plant finally opens

Designed to produce lubricants for automotive and industrial applications, the $20m Kaluga plant has taken two years to build, slightly longer than predicted.

It is part of the company's strategy to supply high-performance lubricants to domestic and international customers across a range of sectors includling automotive, steel, mining, off-highway and agriculture.

Fuchs manages its Russian operations through its subsidiary, Fuchs Oil Russia, which employs more than 60 people in offices in four Russian cities since its first presence in the country in 1998.
