OATS paints the picture of the impact of China's pollution battle on the lubes and energy sectors.
OATS' China Liaison Manager, Diana Shen, delivered this insightful presentation to the 8th ICIS Asian Base Oils & Lubricants Conference in Singapore at the end of June 2014.
Her presentation, entitled ‘Economic growth vs Clean air? The drivers for Lubricants specifications in China’, discusses the current state of hazardous air quality in China, its impact on public health and the need for cleaner air and cleaner energy.
In particular, Diana highlights the accelerated adoption of new standards, with an increasing speed of convergence with European and US markets and is the second presentation Diana has delivered to this conference - the first in 2012 on the subject of lubes and China's burgeoning vehicle market.
