Mobile isn't necessarily the answer for internet marketers, according to VigLink.
VigLink, a link optimization and site monetization tool for publishers (such as bloggers has revealed the latest stats on US content-driven sales in a recent report.
Earnings per click (EPC) for mobile were half that of desktop in the fourth quarter of 2013, according to the report, with websites like wayfair.com and shopbop.com being the most successful.
Coupon and deal sites are reported to show much higher EPCs than blog sites. Sales are lowest for blogs and editorial sites and, surprisingly high for forums.
Results for niche sites show a big difference between key areas - Housewares/House Furnishing sites had the highest EPC with Books/Music/Video showing the lowest.
