Castrol will become the sole brand for BP's marine lubricants.

In a two year transition, BP customers will gradually receive ancillary products and main grade marine lubricants under the Castrol brand.
There will be no change in the OEM approvals, allowing tanks which have residual BP products to mix with Castrol products with no impact on performance.
Castrol's main grade products are fully compatible and miscible with the BP equivalents.There will also be no price changes.
According to the company, BP and Castrol customers will now have greater access to one another's products. Service and historical Used Oil Analysis data will be unaffected. BP's current test kits and sample bottles will still be usable.
