ElectroForce Motors, founded just last year, is carving out a lucrative niche – developing state-of-the-art electric bikes for China’s law enforcement agencies.
The idea evolved after three young entrepreneurs developed an interest in clean motorcycles, starting out with the Beijing Electric Bike Tours project.
While wizzy electric bikes are common in the capital, many of them are slow or unreliable, with inferior batteries. The ambitious trio are hoping to change that.
The impressive DELTA 13 and 15 e-bikes boast 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just five seconds, making it ideal for use in law enforcement.
Service intervals on the bikes are also uncharacteristically low compared to other fossil fuel alternatives, claim its creators. The battery, for example, will only need checking once every 10,000km.
ElectroForce’s founders are all from very different backgrounds but share a passion for things two-wheeled transport. Nathan Siy, the founder of Beijing Electric Bike Tours, is a native Canadian who has been living in Beijing for six years. Luca Valente and Brandon Ng, his business partners, are from Brazil and Singapore, respectively.
The first batch of electric bikes set to be delivered to a law enforcement department in Southeast Asia in the very near future.
