Oman Oil has launched its own lubes brand.
The range from the Sultanate-based Oman Oil Marketing Company uses domestically-produced lubricants in a new range that includes:
- 'Optimo', a passenger car motor oil
- 'Maximo', for commercial diesel vehicles
- 'Marino', developed for fishing and leisure outboard engines
- 'Ancillary' which boost the range with products including cool guard, gear guard and friction guard.
The oil range is designed to meet Oman's diverse terrain and weather conditions, having been tested in countries with similar specific requirements.
Meanwhile Oman Oil has recently acquired Oxea which produces and supplies Oxo chemicals to the merchant market for products like aldehydes, esters and carboxylic acids. Oxea has operations in the Americas, Europe and Asia and produces 70 Oxo chemicals for use in a wide range of industries.
