Lube-Tech set to invest $16m in a Louisiana manufacturing facility.
The renovated 226,000ft2 Shreveport site will manufacture, package and distribute lubricants and related fluids for power sports, marine and outdoor power equipment markets. The building previously accommodated a GM supplier which has since left the area.
Representing Lube-Tech's first major investment in the southern US, the company has taken advantage of the state's industrial development body Louisiana Economic Development's incentives which included funding and a loan of $750,000 as well as assistance with employee recruitment and training. It is expected that 75 direct jobs will be created.
Construction work on the site will begin imminently.
