ExxonMobil Marine has launched a new series of lubricants.
The product range, called SHC Aware, aims to improve vessel reliability, reduce maintenance costs and improve potential environmental impact.
The H Series oil works in marine hydraulic systems operating under high load and high pressures. It can be used in applications such as marine controllable pitch propeller systems and fin stabilizers.
The ST Series provides protection against rust and corrosion for marine stern tube systems also affected by the US EPA's 2013 regulations and is desinged for use in applications including marine and mobile equipment operating in environmentally sensitive areas.
A grease range has also been added. According to ExxonMobil, Grease EP 2 provides protection for shipboard equipment affected by the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) 2013 Vessel General Permit (VGP). It can be used in applications including rudder stocks and towing notch interfaces.
