New signatures indicate a boost to compliance with European lubes quality structures.
The news comes as Europe's Lubes industry technical association - ATIEL - reported 22 new signatories to its Letter of Conformance (LoC) in the first six months of 2016 alone, against 26 LoCs for the whole of the previous year.
The Letter confirms compliance with the European Engine Lubricants Quality Management System (EELQMS jointly developed by ATIElL, ACEA and ATC. While signing-up to the System is voluntary, it is the only realistic means lubes producers have of supporting product labelling claims of compliance with ACEA Sequences.
The latest names makes a total of 132 lubricant marketers from around the globe now signed-up to EELQMS, with the latest coming from Argentian, China, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Thailand amongst others.
With the System covering a range of quality standards, testing and industry codes of practice, the Association is seeing clear evidence of a successful drive to promote a system which is aimed at maintaining quality engine lubricants in markets across the world.
