The US oil major is set to work with a major local chemical supplier to provide Group II oils to Turkey and the region.
The deal, between Chevron Belgium and Istanbul-based Ekin Kimuya - agent for Swiss chemicals distributor Whitechem - will supply a range of Chevron's Group II products across the region, including Chevron Neutral Oill 100R, process oils and the company's Paramount range.
Products storage will be based at the distributor's Solventas Terminals in the Gebze area of Turkey and will, according to Ekin Kimuya ensure reliability of supply for Chevron branded lubes. The deal also reduces import complications in a region where there is no direct production of premium base oils.
