Chevron Lubricants will be consolidating its Geotex range of gas engine oils under the Chevron HDAX brand.
According to the company, the change follows feedback from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and customers. The new branding will, says Chevron, make it simpler for customers to select lubricants and streamline inventory management for resellers.
The latest move continues a consolidation process begun almost 12 months ago, with synthetics, coolants and other lubricants being brought together and processed under the HDAX label.
Chevron’s Geotex range comprises high-performance lubricants designed for petrol engines with a specific focus on the latest biogas and landfill gas-powered units. This is reflected in recent new business wins for Chevron across Europe for cogeneration, biogas and landfill operations.
European demand for lubes related to this type of engines is running at 2.5 - 3m litres annually, particularly in Netherlands, Belgium, Slovenia and the Czech Republic.
