Philadelphia-based Chemtura is set to increase production of its high performance Synton® and Naugalube® additive brands.
The completion of a further expansion stage at the company's Canadian plant in Ontario means increased production of High Viscosity Synton® 40 and Synton® 100 Polyaphaolefin products - high performance viscosity modifiers used in gear and engine oil lubricants.
The Canadian site, situated in Elmira, along with the company's Latina site in Italy, also produces Chemtura's alkylated diphenylamine liquid antioxidant Nuagalube® 438L. Both operations will be increasing product output by the end of Q1 this year. The product is particularly important as a key additive in transportation and industrial lubricants to prevent oil degredation.
The specialist chemical corporate is starting to reap the rewards of significant investment which includes the recent announcement of a new production facility in Rio Claro, Brazil, which will manufacture Nagalube® 403.
