Champion's new full synthetic oil is specifically designed for use with vehicles powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) or Propane. With reduced ash content, the oil has 15W-40 multi-grade viscosity and is engineered for longevity and durability.
The latest lube will be available in 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon drums and 330-gallon totes, according to the company.
At the same time, Champion has also announced the launch of DOT 5 and DOT 5.1 brake fluid to its private label customers, to add to its North American designations of traditional automotive hydraulic brake fluids.
The categories DOT 5 and 5.1 refer to particular chemical formulations which include the range of boiling points and viscosity index. One particular advantage of DOT 5 fluids is that they do not damage paint.
Meanwhile, a new Duron-branded oil is also set for the shelves, courtesy of Petro-Canada Lubricants. Duron Gas Engine Oil Long Drain (GEO LD with a similar 15W-40 spec to the Champion offering, is designed to withstand high combustion temperatures in natural gas mobile engines and can offer drain intervals of up to 1200 hours.
